Structural features and regulating functions of tissuespecific promoters

Tissuespecific promoters can regulate excellent gene expression in certain organs or tissues, with some structural elements relevant to genespecific expression. Many researches indicated that tissuespecific promoters play critical roles in regulating plant growth and development processes and improving plant resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses. In the present paper, the latest research advances on structural features and regulating functions of tissuespecific promoters were reviewed and the research direction regarding tissuespecific promoters were also prospected.
