Abstract
To enrich forage resources in Heilongjiang Province and alleviate the shortage of high protein green fodder, in this study, the forage value and potential of mixed silage corn with forage soybean was evaluated by mixing ‘Jinling Silage 10 corn’ at the milk stage with three forage soybean varieties (strains) harvested at different stages. The three forage soybean varieties used were: ‘Qiandou 7’ (late flowering stage), ‘Zhonghuang 16’ (late pod-setting stage), and ‘HZ8009’ (late pod-filling stage). Silage corn was mixed with forage soybean at five different mass ratios (0 ꞉ 4, 1 ꞉ 3, 2 ꞉ 2, 3 ꞉ 1, and 4 ꞉ 0). Crude protein (CP), neutral detergent fiber (NDF), and acid detergent fiber (ADF) contents were measured. Forage nutritive quality and value were analyzed and evaluated using technology for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS). The results showed that the mixing ratio of the silage corn and forage soybean varieties affected the feed quality and value to different extents, and the feeding value was higher when ‘Jinling Silage 10’ at milk stage and ‘HZ8009’ at late pod-filling stage were mixed at 3 ꞉ 1.
