Abstract
Hybrid teaching, which combines both online and offline methods, has become an integral part of teaching activities in colleges and universities. Effectively integrating online and offline teaching resources, strengthening teaching effectiveness, and improving teaching quality are the key tenets of educational reform and development. In this paper, we describe the optimization and implementation of a mixed online and offline teaching mode for the herbivore feeding course, which was conducted in three stages: before, during, and after class. These stages included teaching mode construction, resource preparation, teaching design implementation, and effect evaluation. The mode was optimized using the comprehensive platform of university online education. The optimized hybrid teaching mode was determined to be highly effective based on the academic achievement of the students and their satisfaction and recognition of the teaching mode reform. It could serve as a reference for method, mode optimization, and thought innovation for teaching herbivore feeding or other related courses, as well as for training herbage and husbandry professionals.
