Study on the mechanisms of grassland landscape perception and environmental responsibility behavior: Take Kanas Lake

  • To clarify the relationship between grassland landscape perception, tourist satisfaction, tourist involvement, and environmental responsibility behavior is an important basis for promoting sustainable development of grassland tourism. Based on the theory of absenteeism, this study constructed a mediation model of landscape perception, tourist satisfaction, environmental responsibility behavior, and tourist involvement. Taking Kanas grassland as a case study, 375 valid questionnaire data were used for structural equation modeling analysis. The results have shown that: 1) The perception of openness and had positive and significant effects on tourist satisfaction. 2) Tourist satisfaction played a part in the mediating role between the perception of openness and environmental responsibility behavior. 3) Tourists’ involvement positively moderated the effect of the perception of the Olympic landscape on tourists’ satisfaction. The results have shown that the construction of a positive landscape perception environment can effectively stimulate tourists’ feeling of satisfaction to the grassland. This can then stimulate tourists’ behavior of environmental responsibility. Providing tourists with high-quality landscape perception experiences is important in promoting their environmentally responsible behavior. This is of considerable importance for promoting green travel, creating ecological civilization, and the sustainable development of grassland scenic spots.
