Abstract
The broadovate and lanceolate are two main ecotypes leaves of Populus euphratica. In the study, the release of reactive oxygen and activity of antioxidase (SOD, CAT and POD) of two leaves in P. euphratica were compared when they suffered from the pest. This study showed that the pest increased the content of O-2. and H2O2 and activities of SOD, CAT and POD in the leaves, and antixidation enzyme changes in the broadovate leaves was higher than that in the lanceolate leaves, especially for POD, implying that the broadovate leaves showed a more pest stress than lanceolate leaves.
