Inheritance of forage production performance of different forage soybean hybrid offsprings

  • This study aimed to analyze the inheritance of forage grass type soybean hybrid offspring production performance. The experiment was conducted during fullbloom stage. The wild soybeans and cultivated soybean hybridize, the hybrids upright traits were selected and screened. Both parents and offsprings production performance indicators like plant height, stem branch, leaf/stem etc.were determined. The results showed that 1)in every generations fullbloom stage, stem diameter, stem branch, fresh weight per plant, dry weight per plant of the forage soybean direct cross line 1 kept stable, and the plant height and leafstem ratio increased; 2)stem diameter, stem branch, leaf/stem of direct cross line 2 kept stable, both fresh and dry weight per plant decreased; 3)for every hybrid of reciprocal cross line 1, it was stable in the indicators of the stem diameter, stem branch, leaf/stem, but the fresh and dry weight per plant tended to decrease; 4)as to the reciprocal cross line 2, all tested indicators showed a stable trend. These results showed that production performance of F5 hybrid offspring kept stable, forage grass potential of hybrid offspring was determined, and strain with high quality forage potential for cultivation using was separated.
