Isolation and culture of sheep Mycoplasma pneumoniae in Gansu Province

One hundred sheep serum samples were collected from five regions of Gansu province and the experiments on serology, pathogen separation and pathogen culture were conducted. There were 14 positive results by serology testing, and 11 of 14 them were from the same area. Two cases of suspected sick sheep Mycoplasma pneumoniae were isolated and identified by microbiological diagnosis, PCR and pathogens gram stainingon. The successful separated sheep M.pneumoiane from the sick sheep was small, slender spherical, double spherical, linear, spiral, halfshaped, short rod and other forms.
