Preliminary study on the turf quality of Poa pratensis cv. Qinghai

The seeding rate, density, colour, texture, uniformity, regeneration speed of Poa pratensis cv. Qinghai at different mow intensity (different mow intervals, 7, 10 and 13 days; different stubbles, 5, 8 and 11 cm) were measured. The result indicated that the seeding rate was high (over 65%) and the cold tolerance of young seedling was strong. It performed the best at 8 cm of stubble and 7 days of mow interval. The regeneration speed of newly established turf was significantly higher than that of 5 yearold turf.
